Yesterday I noticed my cat has started drooling. Her appetite is good. She's playful, acting no
She's a little over 2-years-old. I got her as a stray and have kept her indoors since. She has not had any shots, but has been fixed. My husband thinks that she might have a sore tooth. She doesn't seem to be acting abnormal, although her nose is warm and moist today. Please help. I am worried sick. Money is tight now, but I will take her to a vet if necessary. What might this be? (It might be irrelevant, but a month ago we moved in with my parents until our place is ready. There's an open storage space with fiberglass insulation that she plays in even though we try to keep her out. I hope that's not related.)
I think you need to take a good look in her mouth to see if you can discern anything wrong there. She could have an abcessed tooth. Check the gums for any "red-lining".
It doesn't sound like this is an emergency at the moment. If there is an abcess though it can get serious in a fairly short time. The longer you wait to treat it the more expensive (and potentially harmful to the cat) it becomes.
