Why does my Mickey Mouse Platy keep nipping at my Mystery Snail?

My Mickey Mouse Platy is all of a sudden nipping at my Mystery snail. I inherited this fish tank, so the two have cohabitated for a while now and this is new behavior. My snail is obviously annoyed
because it stays in it's shell most the time. I know its still alive because I find it in different places regularly. Any suggestions?
Are you feeding the fish enough? Maybe she's curious of your snail... and it depends on what type of fish you have, because only certain types can try to (eat!) the snail... you should try and visit a pet store that sell fish or go to a fish store and find out why....
