When should I be concerned if my dog has diarrhea?
I have a 1 year old, female Siberian Husky who seems to be getting diarrhea all the time. I've switched her food to a raw diet thinking it was the food but that hasn't helped. She still plays a lot and doesn't show any signs of discomfort so I'm not sure if I should be concerned. I do suggest going to the vet, but you can also try Kaopectate. It is very soft on the dog's stomach and won't harm the dog at all. You mentioned you had switched your dog's diet. That alone can sometimes trigger a diarrhea problem. You can try feeding her a small amount of rice (brown) or some plain maccaroni. I agree with one of the previous statements below about the WELLNESS foods. It is the best dog food I have found and is better (I think) than the raw diet, plus you don't have to deal with the mess.
