Table food or dog food substitute?

on a cold night coming home from work u forget to stop and get some dogfood... darn!... the nearest store that has the quality food shes accustomed to is verrry far or... there is a dollar store up the street that dont have the food she usually eats. nevertheless there is table food that i can cook for her.
Which option is better? Dollar food or table? and what foods can i cook for her? 6 mth old GSD... please help!!!
The people food would be better.
Stews are always good for dogs.
They can basically eat the same stuff as you, just avoid onions, garlic, chocolate, nuts, cooked bones, fruit pits/seeds, corn, and salty foods.

A very easy meal is some rice (brown is best, but white will do in a pinch) with some chicken.
If you only have boned chicken then you can just give him some raw chicken and some raw fruits and veggies.

One meal that isnt 100% healthy isnt going to hurt him, just avoid the danger foods and you'll be fine.

All of my pups meals are home cooked, this info is just basic for a quick feeding though. Dont try to make a diet based on a backup meal.

In the end food is food. Dog food was just low quality people-type food until it was cooked into kibble.
