Best Dog Food?
I have a one year old Cavalier King charles Spaniel. SHes been on EUK low res for about 8 months, She was having diarreha and I just wanted to get her house trained on a diet, with out a lot of mess. But I am ready to switch. I have tried Wellness with another dog, I wasnt that impressed. I have always used Science Diet and EUkanuba. But I am in the vet field, and I wonder if the reason they are so often used is the Marketing put on vet hospitals, when there may be something better out there. (that cant afford to market to Vets) I WILL NOT use and weird raw food, home made diets. I just want A high quailty food that I can stick with. Any suggestion?
i had my dogs on nutro - switched them to innova but apparently the protein was too high for small dogs - (bad move they had mushy stool) i then switched them to eagle pack hollistic - great move! (it was recommended by the vet because it contains acidophillus good for the doggy stomach) their stool is firm and they poop less than before. They love the food too - however some ppl don't like how there is only one meat as primary. I have two food canisters at home, one with duck, and one with fish (the two that the eagle pack ppl recommended to me) i switch around every other week so they don't get bored. Try purchasing from a pet store that allows you to return the food if you or your dog doesn't like it - the one i purchase from said if i'm not satisfied i can just take it back. eagle pack website also sends you a coupon for a free bottle of transition - helps you transition your dog to the new food.
